On February 9, traditional ski competitions were held with the support of «UDS Oil» in the village of Krasnogorskoe. Competitions for the prizes of «UDS Oil» company were held as part of the regional winter rural sports games and under the auspices of the All-Russian mass race «Russian ski track». This year, more than 200 athletes from the Krasnogorsk region have applied for participation.
At the opening ceremony, participants and fans were welcomed by Alexey Veretennikov, the acting Deputy Head of the Administration of the Krasnogorsky Municipality on Social Issues, and Fanis Ziganshin, Deputy Chief Engineer for Production in «UDS Oil».
- It is great to see so many athletes here today who are eagerly awaiting the start. This suggests that skiing in the Krasnogorsk region is a favorite winter sport and proves how important mass sports are at the local level. After all, the way to the big-time sports begins with competitions in their native land. Competitive skiing in the Krasnogorsk region is a great sporting tradition that is important to maintain. Our company readily supports it, – said Fanis Ziganshin. He also wished the participants sports passion, fair struggle and the will to win.
Classical style races and spectacular family relay races were held in the framework of the ski competition. At the finish, the athletes were warmly welcomed by the fans. At the end of each group arrival, the event organizers awarded the winners and prize-winners.
