From July 5 to 29, a festival of new impressions CITY FEST was held in Izhevsk. The initiator of the event was the team of «UralDomStroy». Just a month before the event, the company built a new modern city site at the crossroads of K. Marx and Kirov streets and prepared a festival program full of cultural events.
Screenings from the Izhevsk cinema club, family master classes, educational lectures from local entrepreneurs and capital experts, evenings with theatrical performances and poetry reading and the first acoustic festival Acoustic Fest (0+), the headliner of which was the «Underwood» band, allowed residents and guests of the capital to take a fresh look at the possibilities of urban leisure.
During the festival, the site was visited by tens of thousands of people. Residents of the city, active business communities and guests of Izhevsk shared their mood every day:

«UralDomStroy» plans to improve the territory of the festival, limited to the streets of Pushkinskaya, Kirov, V. Sivkov and K. Marx, not only the erection of ultramodern residential complexes, but also the creation of a comfortable cultural environment to make life of Izhevsk more interesting and brighter. The implementation of the ideas for the design of public spaces requires the participation of municipal urban institutions, which primarily rely on the opinion of the residents of the city. Therefore, at the site of CITY FEST, the organizers held a vote so that the audience could choose socially significant objects that they want to see in the new urban area of CITY FEST. The majority of votes were given for the appearance of the Park – 4182 votes. Among other options: sports complex-1498 votes, kindergarten and school – 1612 votes, shopping galleries – 657 votes.
- The festival and the CITY FEST site, which we built, have become a telling story for us. Residents of the city respond positively to these changes, visited the site and stayed here even in the rain. Obviously, such public spaces are necessary for our city. The current result speaks for itself - the residents want to see a park in this territory. At the end of the festival, the CITY FEST site will continue to function, changing over time — in the future it will be the beginning of a cozy green Boulevard, which will pass through the entire territory of the CITY, where the fiercely modern residential complexes Ocean City*, Eco Life**, Parus*** and 5 continents**** will be located.
The first festival of CITY FEST has come to an end, but work on the development of the site is just beginning.
