UDS group – general partner of Boxing Championship of the Volga region

The Boxing championship of Volga federal district among young men of 15-16 years old dedicated to the memory of Andrei Abramov, Merited Master of Sport of the USSR, took place in Izhevsk on March 13-17. UDS group has supported the event as a general partner. 

The boxers from 13 regions of Russia have mounted the ring. More than 160 sportsmen have competed for medals of the championship. The trainees of the republican sporting schools Rustam Araslanov (2nd place), Maxim Chashchin (2nd place), Maxim Sintsov (2nd place) and Daniil Gabov (3rd place) have worthily represented Udmurtia, having conducted bouts in a spectacular and technically gifted way.

The Boxing championship of Volga region is a preliminary round before the Boxing championship of Russia, a chance for the sportsmen to evaluate their forces and readiness as well as to perform an error analysis preceding the main start. The winners of final fights will go to Tyumen to the Сhampionship of Russia in July. 

The Boxing championship of Volga federal district in Izhevsk is an annual event organized by the regional Boxing federation with participation of UDS group.

“Being supported by the holding the boxing of Udmurtia has reached a new level of development. A gym furnished with modern equipment, high-quality outfit, as well as a chance for regular visits to training camps and competitions with the strongest boxers of the country and conducting of tournaments in the republic have appeared. All this inspires our guys for struggle and victory”, emphasized Oleg Timofeyev, head coach of Udmurtia representative boxing team.

The new experience and new capabilities are up ahead. The team Boxing Cup of Russia will take place for the first time on April 16-21, 2018 in Izhevsk, where 10 teams, and more than 200 sportsmen will compete; they are the boxing elite of the country, the Masters of Sport of Russia of international class and participants of the Olympic Games. Competitions of such a level in Udmurtia is a powerful impetus for boxing development in the republic and for bringing up new champions.
